My friend's avin a problem with her pc. She's just moved from AOL to Blueyonder broadband, and now she can't use Internet Explorer. Every time she opens it, it reports an error and has to shut down. I was havin a look at it the other day, and started it up in safe mode with networking. When in this state Internet Explorer works fine, but when it reboots normally IE stops working - anyone know why this is happening - is there something loading on startup stopping IE from working? Is it anything to do with the previous installations of AOL? - thanks in advance - carlos

Are you sure you completely removed AOL from the computer? From add/remove programs in the control panel? You must get rid of this vermin. Have you tried msconfig and looking to see whether any AOL applications run when you startup your computer? This must be prevented as well.
