Excellent Hot Chocolate:
per cup:
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
2 teaspoons sugar
Here's the important part -mix these in the cup with a very very small amount of water (1 teaspoon) amount of water. If you add the right amount of water, you won't get lumps. Your mix will look like chocolate syrup,don't worry about the sugar crystals.
Add hot milk. While heating the milk stir it with a wire whisk, which will keep the milk from sticking to the bottom of the pan, and make a lovely foamy consistency to the chocolate.
When you've emptied the milk pot fill it with warm or hot water to make the pot easy to clean. You don't want to use cold water, as the sudden temperature change warps the metal of the pot.
This hot chocolate only takes 5 minutes start to finish. I used to make it for my family all the time.Brings back memories.
P.S. We very often topped it with whipped cream.
