What did you do?
8 Answers
Just wanted to put this question to fellow ABers...most of us (but not all) have had to get over people in our lifetime for one reason or another...what did you do to pick yourself up?...did you take up a new hobby or do something you had never done before? What made you feel better???

But time was a great healer. I went swimming and to the gymn as often as i could and luckily most of my friends were still single so i dragged them along with me.
It might be worth enrolling on a few evening classes....or even changing jobs to meet new people.
But whatever you do, i wish you the very best of luck because it ain't nice.

I pretended that we hadn't really split and that he was just on holiday. So I didn't need to miss him becasue he'd be coming back soon, bs I'd better keep myself looking nice for him and find lots of interesting things to do so I could tell him about them. I wrote him lots of letters, tellin ghim what a great time I was having (I didn't post them). After a while (it was an extended holiday!!), I found that I was enjoying doing things and didn't really need him. What's more, because I'd been keeping mysefl looking good for him, other people found me attractive. It wasn't long before I found I really didn't care whether he came back or not (just as well really!).
I hope things go well for you soon.

went on about a 3 month bender - nearly lost my job i reckon though, and made myself quite ill though overindulgence of alcohol and underindulgence of anything that does you much good (sleep, good food). funny thing is, i met my new bf whilst doing this and a year later we are very happy indeed and making plans to live together. we have both calmed down loads and are very happy together.
