Hey i am currently looking at getting some venetian blinds for my bedrrom window. What i was wondering is where do you hang them - do u put them inside the window so they are against the actual window...or hang them from the middle so that they are not against the window but you can also use half of the window sill when they are closed? or do you hang them so they cover the whole window sill when they are pulled down? cheers
As with curtains, the choice is entirely yours, although if you put them inside a very deep recess, then you may have difficulty accessing the pull chords. Similary, it may not be practical to hang them inside a very shallow recess.
Cheers for that i was actually thinking of putting them over the whole window so you cannot see the window sill at all as it would save chopping them down and making a mess! But i was worried they would look silly and im not sure what fittings they give u with them incase you have to attach them at the top of the recess? or can they just be attached to a wall?
freak_unique - I don't want to dishearten you but I think the first time you have to clean those damn blinds -you will wish you had not bought them in the first place!!!
haha damn! its either our of black venetian blinds which ive always wanted, OR black satin curtains to match my black and silver satin bed covers...grr decisions isnt my strongest point!
