pale coloured poo

Ive posted this on H&F too so please excuse the duplication.
Is there any reason to be concerned if a persons poo changes colour to pale beige?

Pale faeces following an attack of diarrhoea soon return to normal. They can also occur in jaundice - because bile can�t get into the intestines, the yellow colour builds up in the blood instead. Gall stones are often the culprit and are often associated with bad abdominal pains. However, the tube that feeds bile into the intestines may be blocked - this is not usually painful - or the liver may be inflamed (hepatitis). If your faeces become pale and your skin or the whites of your eyes turn yellow, consult your doctor.

Eating a lot of cream can do this, also some prescription drugs. If it doesn`t go back to normal in a few days consult the doctor.My daughter was on too high an antiepileptic drug and it was affecting her liver.

Jenna, thank you, it has occured during 3 days of bad diarrhoea but doesnt seem to be returning to normal yet, will GP if same in 2 days

Peapod, thank you, the person whos effected isnt really taking many fluids on board unless milk so that could be answer

There are no other signs of any liver problems ie, yellowing of skin and eyes

could have sworn you were a med person, given the answers you give on AB . stomach upset involved ? how old ? i would say plenty of fluids and review if it doesn't improve in 48 hrs . Stop milk - not appropriate if stomach upset. sure will settle in a very short time but let us know

ps . how was the lion king and your weekend without baby redcrx. how old is he ? i am laughing . my friend gave birth to second daughter today 10lbs 9ozs . AAAAAhhhggg!

larkin, mad person but not med :). Pick bits up when little one coming down with every nursery bug going :)

It is baby crx whos poorly but he wont take much apart from milk, he usually happily drinks water. The toilet troubles arent following any pattern as yet and hes only been sick once. Hes happy enough in himself though so i dont want to remove his milk. Its always been a stomach settler for me rather than an upsetter, just like banana is.

Lion king was fab, as was weekend without baby crx (hes 16 months old). Enjoyed it so much have already booked to see Mary poppins in April.

Bet your friend isnt laughing, ouch, I though baby crx was heavy at 9lbs 7 (he may end up being an only child lol)
