How long does a new concrete floor take to dry? Not sure of the thickness (need to check with the builder) but would hazard a guess at 130mm. Just itching to lay my laminate!!!

This is the reason the manufacturers of the laminate you will be using will tell you it's important to use a vapor barrier (plastic sheeting, etc.) as the first layer directly on the concrete before laying the sound deadening layer. I'd wait for at least a week before beginning. Here in the U.S. concrete is usually 4 to 6 inches thick for most applications...
