Neighbour from Hell
Can you find out on the Internet if somebody has been evicted from a previous address?
A close relative has recently had a new neighbour move in to their converted house (2 flats). The man will not abide by the lease for the property, and is unapproachable because of his abusive nature. Effing and blinding with every sentence, shouting to whoever visits him and music on very loud. His reason for moving away from where he lived previously seems vague, (he says he didn't know where to go!), as he knows nobody in the area having moved many miles.
If he has been sent packing by his local council (for whatever reason), is it possible to view such details via the internet?

If they know who the landlord is (ie same as theirs) then they could try writing to them. If not then they can find out the relevant freehold/leasehold title from the land registry who will most likely be the Landlord or can pass it on to whoever is looking after things for them.

Or if he's a significant nuisance then have a chat with the local council to see if they could help.

Many thanks Jenna,
I guessed it wouldn't be easy! Have tried looking up newsfiles in the area he told my relative he was from - to no avail. Will try land registry on Monday to see if that gives any more info. If not will suggest they speak to the council (as you suggested), He has only lived there for 3 weeks, but has proved a nuisance in more ways than one!
Thanks again

The way to deal withthis to approch the landlord, he is the one that holds the lease,.By letting the flat he can not step away from his responsablity under the lease. He will have to deal with his tenant. Just keep up up the presure by wrtting to him or phoning each and every time this man abuses the terms of the lease.
im sorry to say this but im not being funny, what difference is it really going to make wether or not you find out about his past? personally i think you are only a neighbour so what business is it of yours? fair enough he is being a pest so why not report him to the local council for the noise? sorry but i think you are being a bit of a nosy neighbour
