Past Affecting Future

Has anyone ever found their past affected their future?

I've chatting to the loveliest guy and we're going to meet for the first time in a couple of weeks.

We were chatting and asking each other questions and got onto the subject of casual relationships and such.

He's never had one, not even a one night stand which I admire.

I have had casual relationships though and I get the feeling that he's not too impressed even though he said he'd never judge me.

It'd be lovely to have a chance with someone like him who seems gentlemanly, sweet, kind and would treat me right but i'm scared my past , not just that but other things, may put him off.

Hmmm, i would only tell him about your past if he asks you specifically. The only way your past will affect your future is if you make out your something your not and he finds out. . If he is a decent guy, he will pick up that your hiding something and will be more annoyed with the fact that you dont trust him to share it with him. like they all say, the past is the past so it shouldnt matter, as you wasnt with him then, but be honest always...

Hey Chick,
Its way too early to start letting your skeletons out of your closet baby. Dont swamp him with your past just yet as it may scare him off, too much information, be yourself but never divulge too much information to any man this early on.
Live each day as it come, relax, enjoy yourself, enjoy his company and be happy, grab the happy moments as much as you can.

Thank you all for your answers :) I think it's me who is more worried about it than anything else.

I'm just gonna relax and take things nice and slow and see how they go :)
