Hi

I've recently acquired 2 female cats which I found as strays.

Would other cat owners recommend getting them spayed and also can anyone tell me how much this costs in the UK?

Thanks.

At my local vets it was 49 for a female cat to be sprayed, but the RSPCA vans visit towns every few months and it only costs 15. Try and find out when they will be visiting your town.
Hope this helps.
Hi sugar It might be a good idea to give one of your local vets a ring and ask his prices for spaying cats as they vary depending on where you live. I would strongly recommend getting them spayed. It would save the hassle of endless litters of unwanted kittens. Also get them wormed and checked for fleas. cheers skylight
Sorry, forgot to say you may have a local Cat Protection League. They sometimes give out vouchers for cat neutering. Your vet should know. cheers
Most definitely a good idea to get them both spayed as soon as possible. There are many campaigns all over the country for getting cats nuetered/spayed very cheaply or sometimes free. As skylight said the Cat Protection League send out vouchers to help with the cost. Check if you have one locally and give them a ring, they'll give you a list of vets in your area that are in their scheme of cheap nuetering/spaying. Where are you? maybe I can point you in the right direction.
Just wanted to also say Good for you for giving the two cats a good home. You'll get alot of joy from these cats.
it is very important that you have your cats speyed.cost varys on where you live.anything from 30.00 upwards but if on benefits try your local cat's protection for help towards the cost.
