Can anyone help with a remedy for controlling hot flushes and night sweats?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Menopace is brilliant and black cohosh does help with the flushes and sweats .Cool shower or bath before you go to bed ,cotton sheets and nightie (if you wear one! ).Keep a fan in the room so if you do get hot you can switch it on to cool you down Or keep one of those little battery fans by the bed..Avoid tea,coffee ,fags,alcohol last thing ,drink plenty of water.I used to keep a bowl of iced water by my bed and a flannel and wring that out just to wipe the horrible sweat away and cool me down It will get easier ..I promise .Best of luck ....
Thanks for all your suggestions, I am grateful..... I am trying Menopace first and will see how that works and maybe move onto the other suggestions. I have a flannel next to the bed to "mop" down !! trouble is, I also get very cold in bed following a sweat. I get very little sleep. I have strategically placed fans around the house and the car !!....I hope these flushes do not last long.
