Cant move on
6 Answers
My boyfriend finished our relationship 3 weeks ago. I thought he loved me and I was very much in love with him. We argued alot, which is why he finished it.
I am finding it very hard to move on. Cant imagine not being with him.
I am annoyed that I can get so attached to someone.

I know how you feel, that 3 weeks at the moment feels like 3 years, you can't possibly get over losing somebody you love in such a short time, please don't be annoyed at yourself, why should you ? you have been in love and that is a wonderful thing, you will gradually feel better, but it does take time, I know I am not being a lot of help, just stating how it is, had you been together a long time ? why were you arguing? I only ask because I went through the same thing, we argued because we were saving hard for a house and never went out, we split up after 5 years, but I was lucky we got back together after a year apart, but please never be annoyed because you have loved someone deeply, thinking of you, Ray

I am a true believer of everything happening for a reason. At the moment you will feel like your world has ended and you may feel annoyed at yourself, but that is only you trying to protect your feelings. Like Ray says, you have fallen for someone and enjoyed the time you had together. don't feel bad for that, it is a nice thing to have happened. But now it has ended, try and move on. Meet up with friends, take time out for yourself, go to the gym, swim, go for walks, spoil yourself with pampering bubble baths and curl up with a good book/magazine and look to the future. You never know what it will bring. Try and be excited that one door has closed and another one has opened.
Good luck sweetie. xx

Hi warwickroad, I am in exactly the same position as you. Recently broken up after a very long relationship. And I am finding it hard to stop thinking about him. Let alone move on.
I dont know how long you were together. But like Ray said (hi Ray) dont be annoyed at yourself. You cant help your feelings. Get yourself out today. Dont sit around indoors. Let me know how you feel later xx

Fill the space he's left in your life with good things and try and make the most of being single for a while. Think of all the things you couldn't do, get round to doing etc... when you were attached.
Dedicate a day to yourself, have a lovely long lie in then go out for a lovely long massage or manicure or facial then meet a friend for a long leisurely lunch then treat yourself to some lovely new comfy nightwear and some bathroom treats, a new feelgood movie and maybe even some new bedstuff like a new duvet.
Have a nice long hot bubble bath, maybe with a glass of wine and put some feel good music on loud.
Get into your lovely new nightwear and cuddle up in a duvet on the sofa with a hot water bottle and some chocolate or hot chocolate with marshmallows or cake or something.
Make a list of friends you've not seen for a while and call them up for a catch up.
Organise a girlie night out or get the girls round with some bottles of wine and pampering treats. Maybe hire a masseur or tarot reader or something.
Get out there and join a club or evening class or something that will occupy your mind and realise there's so much more out there for you than him.
Maybe book yourself a holiday to get away from things.
Hope you feel better soon xxx
