You cannot target a particular area, "spot reduction" is impossible (except by surgery! lol) so all you can do create a calorie deficit and fat will be taken from somewhere! You can exercise the tummy region and tone it up that will help pull it in.
Agree with Loosehead to a degree. I think you can reduce the tummy area a bit particularly if you are bloated by reducing your carb intake particulary at night.
I find a few nights without spuds, pasta, rice etc on my evening meal and there is a definited difference in the tummy area.
Also drink lots of water to prevent bloating and eat your fruit in the morning before brekkies.
