i have made too much icing for my christmas cake will i have to throw it away or will it keep for a while?

Make it a little bit wetter.Then put it into cling film,not in a bowl straight in to the cling film. You are keeping the air out so that it doesn`t set.put in the fridge.

Make some fairy cakes and use the icing to top them.

The kids will enjoy them.

Or add peppermint essence and make into after dinner mints. They would last for ages except that everyone gobbles them up
