Bill Webster is back in Corrie. I'd forgotton Maureen had run off with him. Can anyone remember his wife who was Kevin's mother & who played the part?? Thanks.

I dont think Kevins mother was ever in Corrie Bugs. He had a sister who emigrated to Australia with Bill. When Bill returned a few years later he picked up with Maureen and took her off Reg. Kevs sister used to be in Dinner Lady's. she was the office girl always ordering toast.

His mother was also called Alison, nee Cartwright.

(Kevin's ex-wife was Alison Wakefield.)

Can't remember who played her though - she may never have been seen in it.

Within a year of arriving in the Street, Bill married Elaine Prior, Percy Sugden's niece. They moved to Germany and later divorced because of Elaine's adultery. She was played by Judy Gridley, who died in her early 40s after a long illness.

Alison and Kevin wanted a quiet wedding after he had finally persuaded pregnant Alison to come back from Morecambe with him on New Year's Eve, and despite Kevin sleeping with his ex-wife sally the previous evening. Alison's parents weren't invited because of the rift between them. At the last minute, Alison's co-workers turned up from Underworld to swell the numbers. Kevin's children from his first marriage - Rosie and Sophie were the bridesmaids, and the witnesses were workmates of the bride and groom - Jim McDonald and Linda Sykes. There was a small reception in the Rovers, and then the new Mr & Mrs Webster went on honeymoon in the Lake District.

Thanks everybody for all that. Think it was Elaine I was thinking of. Kevin's pregnant wife (Alison) was knocked over by a car or something?? It's surprising what people remember or forget. Thanks.
