Fog lights

I don't know if it's a local thing, but there are more and more cars around my way (Somerset) driving with their fog lights on when it's not foggy. Please, if you are one of these drivers, can you explain why? Not only is it dazzling, it's illegal too!

There is no difference between fog or so called driving lights neither should be used while driving in normal conditions and fog lights only in visibility LESS than 100 mtrs {THATS THE LAW}. Anybody that says front foglights dont dazzle other drivers is a dick in my opinion {unfortunatly Im a 4eyes and they bloody dazzle me in glasses or contacts} It should be Common motoring manners not to use them in normal night weather conditions, most idiots use them just coz they think it looks cooool to drive with them on , maybe they think it adds value to their escourts , cavaliers and old BMWs. Personally i will continue to engage my main beam towards any TW@T driver that drives towards me with their fog lights on, as long as they are the only oncoming car of course

Sumpy....I like you you are funny and yes nothing beats sarcasm except for maybe more sarcasm especially when directed at spotty faced juveniles in cars driving with their spot...err driving.....damn i mean fog lights on , on a perfectly clear night. I can forgive people for forgetting to turn them off even up to 3 days after the last bout of heavy fog [that could be the age thing again} but just putting them on for the hell of it....nah....Its main beam time for me.

And Skids..with a name like yours i guess you are into driving ?? But FOUR sets of lights coming toward you at night is annoying and it can dazzle you, addmitedly not as much as the main beam but it is distracting to other oncoming drivers none the less. It just cannot be justified to drive with them on unless its very foggy, there is no excuse, they are there for a purpose
