Lower the temperature & no tumble drying....
I've read about global warming & appreciate that not everyone has tumble dryers, but.......
I read in the paper this morning, that Asda, are recommending we should be lowering the temperature of the water in our washing machines (fair enough), but also not to use tumble dryers!!!!
Here we are in 2007, with all the latest technology, but are being advised to go back to the 'olden days'! I love to see a line full of washing drying naturally, but in this awful weather, I for one wouldn't be without my tumble dryer & refuse to go back to the using a clothes horse or having washing draped all over the radiators to dry!
Would you?
P.S. As it was in th newspaper this morning, I thought I'd post it in News, but if you think it should be in Home & Garden, please feel free to report it as such. Ta!

one filthy mutt later towelled down and I'm having my 2nd cuppa and my gluten free food free ginger nuts hehe
The eucalyptus tree and beech trees are waving at me frantically from the garden and the fir trees, front and back are bending back and forth.... all I imagine is those little birdies in their nests gripping on for dear life in the fir trees..

Erm...anyone heard of either a washing line or a radiator?
Tumble dryers are pretty useless...bit like those "space pens". Apart from the few dozen who've done their training, who the hell is gonna write a Post-It in zero gravity?
Apparently a whole power station's worth of energy is also wasted in this country because people put things on mute instead of switching them off.
Makes you despair at this country...
I'm off to live in Bombay, first chance I get.

China are building a power station ( of the non enviro friendly variety ) a week, and you are concerned about offending ASDA by your tumble dryer usage ? You can turn me in too honey, lol. I know every little makes a difference, and I recycle etc but I think maybe some bigger issues need to be sorted first.
