Sony Discman problem

My daughter has my (well OK it's probably hers by now!) Discman on holiday abraod with her. When she looks at the display it says 'Hold' and it won't play - any ideas what she's done, and how to9 correct it? Thanks.

Hi Andy.....if you look on the discman there will be a switch or button that says "hold" if you switch this off the discman will work fine.They fit this "hold" button/switch so the buttons are not operated by accident when the discman is in your pocket. Hope this helps.

You've just beaten me to it JackReagan. I'd just looked on my Sony Discman & was about to type in exactly the same words as you. I had the same problem with mine when new & it drove me potty until I discovered that tiny little switch!
