I wouldnt want to propose, I would rather a bloke do it. In a very unexpected way, alot of people around so not just us know straightway. Have to be abroad somewhere in a hot country.

well i'm hoping i won't have to (i'm waiting on the mister to do it). but i think something over the top like a brass band/choir type thing playing/singing a romantic song in the middle of the shopping high street and then they'd start to sing my loved ones name and then i'd pop the big one.

i know it sounds so cheesy but how chuffed would you be if someone went to all that trouble to show they loved you, huh?

Sorry to steal your question MiniN, but what if he didnt propose the way or ways you want him to then would you be annoyed? I would be annoyed if they were no effort in it, for example walking down a street and in drops it in a conversion or something.

my husband proposed to me in a restaurant - not very original, but the smile/relief on his face when I said yes was more important (and amusing) to me.

ha ha my fella proposed one day when we were shopping........ well i say propose, we walked past a jewellers and he just said 'we may as well choose one while we are here'.

i wouldnt be too happy if there was no thought in the proposal. how romantic would it be if u were watching telly or something and he said to you 'do you want to'. you might feel a bit miffed! no effort = no thought!
