How much longer are we going to tolerate this islamic crap?
A muslim police woman has refused to shake hands with the London Chief of police because she finds touching a white person offensive.

How does this "thing" expect to get through her career just arresting asians?

Hi kev,
maybe a different paper, but this one says its because he's a man.
Regardless, she should be sacked forthwith, except that it'll open up another can of worms.

Sorry John,
Writing at the same time.
where did you get the idea that she wouldn't shake hands because he's white from - plus if we are talking ethnicity here you don't even know she isn't white herself, she is only described as non-Asian ... think you've got yourself all heated up over nothing really just knee jerked your way into a "race" rant.

Oh, it's from the Daily Mail, is it? Well it'll be a load of ******** then.
not a 'white' issue, it's because the CoP is a man!
Surely she is in the wrong job?
However, senior commanders are worried that dismissing her would deepen the atmosphere of mistrust between the police and the Muslim community.

The above passage from the report, says it all.

When are they going to stop treading on egg shells with Muslims, and other ethnic & other minority groups, and then take whatever action is deemed necessary? No matter what their religion, Race or sexual orientation.
Seems to me, that when she joinede the police, she must have known that if she made an arrest, it could be a man, so if she can't do the job, she should be dismissed.
Is she going to let male felons go?.
I'm sure I read in a newspaper this morning (I work in Co-op and had to stack 'em) that she has been sacked.
Sacked eh? The human Rights Lawers will now be falling over themselves to get her a huge pay-out courtesy of the long suffering tax payer.
With that freeloader Cherie Blair at the front.
Quick quesiton:

All those people who are screaming about the racism of Islamic extremists...

...did you join anti-racist marches when the parents of Asians were afraid to go out at night for fear of being 'p**i-bashed'?

Did you write furious letters to the papers when you saw examples of, let's call it, 'old fashioned racism'?

Or did you just sit quietly because it didn't affect you.

I'm asking about what your feelings were back in the 70s and 80s. Because it seems that a small but very vocal minority of non-ethnic people are now terribly interested in racism, because WOW - it affects them.

Is this just taditional hypocracy or the natural outcome of blithe self-interest?

When you refer to this policewoman as a 'thing' were you drunk?

She's described as a 'non-Asian Muslim', so she could be black or what would be even funnier...white!

I'd be surprised if she was sacked.
I think you'll find that under employment legislation it has to go to arbitration, and if a suitable post within the organisation can be found she will have to be offered that. The main reason this is an issue isn't to do with colour, it's to do with religious belief. However, when advertising and interviewing for these positions there is now such a pressure on being politically correct and recruiting 'ethnic minorities' that some of the basic ideals such as the ability to actually do the job and apprehend a criminal have become badly warped. It has now got to a stage that almost anyone with a claim to ethnicity, the ability to read and write at a secondary school level and a clean enhanced crb check is taken on. The need to recruit more minorities is perfectly understandable and very commendable, but it shouldn't be to the cost or detriment of our legal system's basic requirements.
I think this - along with the teacher in the veil row - will have a negative effect on the future employment of Moselm women. Strange that it wont effect men though
kev100, what exactly are you saying?
