should i wait for a baby?
10 Answers
im 29 soon and getting quite broody, am half way through my nurse training so it wouldn't really be practical for me to be pregnant at the moment however i'm worried if i leave it too late i won't be able to conceive, what do ab'ers think? i've never attempted to become pregnant before and its only recently i've been feeling like this. 34 would be ideal for me but i'm scared i won't be able to by then as i know i'm at my peak fertility right now

Well I'm sure you appreciate the well thought out responses recieved above!!!
Truth be told no time is practical to become pregnant, if we all thought too much about it we'd all have more cons than pros.
However saying that, it would seem (in my opinion) a bit daft to cut short your nurses training- how long does it last?
I was 34 when I became pregnant for the 2nd time, so I think at 29 you've quite a way to go before your fertility levels start dropping.
What i'm really getting at I guess is that if I was in your position, I'd finish my training 1st.

If you brought a kid in to this world right now could you look after it and support it? Are you stable in everything else other than your training? Would you want to give up your training or postpone it for the next five or six years?
Don't think anyone can answer this for you but there's ^^^ some questions to ask yourself.

It has got to be the right time for you, and it does not sound like it is,could be you are feeling broody because of all the babies you are seeing at work, if you are destined to have a baby you will have one, so I wouldn't worry about the fertility bit, if you had one now you may well regret it, as it may interfere with your career, but only you can decide, all we can do is give an opinion, take care, Ray
thanks for the advice and opinions. Think I posted the question for reassurance that if I leave it a few years I won't be too old, and I got that so again thanks. Yes waitng is right choice I think afterall have waited this long so another 18 months can't be a bad thing. Hopefully I am destined to have a child in my early thirties and yes if it does turn out that I can't conceive theres always adoption.
