I saved the top layer of my daughters wedding cake "for the christening", as per tradition. The cake has been kept cool and boxed for 3 and 1/2 years. Still looks ok, can it still be used or is it likely to be too dry now to be re-iced, now that I have become a proud grandma?

The cake should soak it up and make it nice and moist and even tastier. Hope this helps, and CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a Grandma!
