Things to do in Barcelona!
I'm going to Barcelona end of June/beginning of July this year and was wondering if there is anything that anyone can recommend to do when i'm there? All adults, no kids but not really a drinking/partying holiday! Thanks

LOTS of shopping on and round La Rambla, then there are all the Gaudi buildings, including La Sagrada Familia and Casa Mila (well worth going into), Park Guell with Gaudis wavy benches not to mention the Cathedral and gothic quarter. Just get yourself a guide book and have a good read. See also http://www.aboutbarcelona.com/
The Pueblo Espanol on Mont Juic is a pleasant enough place to pass a bit of time and browse round some better-quality souvenir-type shops; there's the usual "trip round the bay" boats, and if you're into flea markets there are a couple of decent ones, one down by the harbour and one near the cathedral (can't remember which days offhand, but I seem to remember the harbour one is Sunday). The maritime museum at the seaward end of Las Ramblas is superb. Whatever you do, don't miss the Sagrada Familia, and if you're all Gaudi'd out but still fancy an architectural treat do the tour of the Palau de la Musica Catalana.
Just to walk from Plaza de Catalonia to el Monumento de Coln is a good start, then go up Montjuch from Poble Sec metro station via the fnicular and telefrico (cable car) will be more than enough for one day.
Another day go up to Tibidabo.
Then when you're rested go back to to el Monumento de Coln again and round the corner to El Muso Martimo and keep your tickets because they allow admission to the replica of the Santa Mara in the harbour. The maritime museum is worth it just for the replica of the Royal Flagship from the 15th c. (?) battle of Lepanto.
Another day go back towards Tibidabo for the Science Museum. Museums close on Mondays.
Take mainline train to Sitges, (full day).
Tell me what interests you and I will tell you where to go in Barcelona, even where I married - iglesia de Santa Eulalia de la Villa Piscina, Plaza de Virei Amat!

You get off at Paral-lel Metro for the Funiclar to Montjuch not Poble Sec.
The ramblas from Plaza de Catalua es an outing in itself, but beware of pick-pockets!
There are too many museums for me to list here, but the the History of the City museum is interesting, as are the musical fountains in the evening at Plaza de Espaa, (check the days - but in July, they'll be on most evenings).
The Flea Market or rastro is called Els Ecants, but Glories Metro stop is nearest, just get off and follow the crowd. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, (but not Bank Holiday Mondays).
