Secondly, he mentions his wife is 57. If she was his wife for 40 years, they must have married extremely young.

At risk of sounding evil (once again!) I'm deeply cynical of most things posted on AB (call it experience) and just find it totally surreal and bizarre.

i'd just like to say to joan, i hope on behalf of everyone here, that, if this is genuine, then we are very sorry for doubting you - its just that there are a lot of trolls on here who like to stir up trouble, so some of us are naturally suspicious, but we are only concerned at how hurtful to kev something like this would be if it were not true.

and its great that kev obviously loved AB a lot for you to have come on here to give us the news at such a time.

i am sure you will take comfort in reading some of his posts.

Still a bit harsh to question it on the womans thread. I hope you are right and it isn't real because I would hate for a grieving widow to have been made to feel stupid for posting.

yeah I know tiny, it's why I pondered for ages whether to post the thread in the 1st place. I'd really hate for the lady in question to feel any more hurt over this post if she saw it , and I'll be the 1st to apologise to her if it's true.

Why did you even bother posting this BOO. If it's not true, ignore it, and if it is true (which I tend to believe it is) then what is there to discuss? - or do you want to make an "alleged" new widow feel like a fool. A complete waste of a posting. It just makes you look stupid and thoughtless.

OK dear (much better than hon - don't you think?). Think you should be prepared to be called just about anything when posting on public sites I would have thought. Anyway, you can untwist your knickers now - you're obviously extremely sensitive and very easily creeped out, so nuff said from me. Hmmm, no sorry I disagree Crete, I don't think my post was a mistake. It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it along with everyone else and theirs. The very fact that the majority of folks who replied agree with me says I'm not alone in my thinking here. But I'll reiterate- I will be the first to aologise if i'm wrong, believe me I really don't want to add to the woman's grief!!

Cheesefreak- for some oddball reason you still feel the necessity to patronise me. I couldnt care less if you're male or female either.And no, I don't accept that because someone posts in a forum they are open season to be called any name someone else wants to call them. I accept that yours weren't nasty words in themselves, but the result was the same, you meant to patronise me and the message was clearly understood.

Right..now I've got that off my chest.....NOW the thread can be put to rest!
