If someone can lie to take a country to war and when the lie is exposed not resign.....what is a few gongs on his miserable conscience.
"The Prime Minister is said to have given detectives a series of "unsatisfactory" or "incomplete" answers - prompting the need for yet another grilling."

Seems the Mail have, for once, provided an absolute quote and a half.

Knowing Blair, he'd probably only step down if imprisoned, and then not without a struggle. Of course, the odds of imprisonment right now are conveniently long, not least due to lack of space....
A certain person will be along in a minute (he knows who he is) to blame the last Tory government for Blair's woes.
Hopefully not much longer ~ but then, is there a viable alternative? Would GB make a better PM? Would a general election help or compound the situation? So many questions, so few proper answers.
Teflon Tony will ensure that nothing sticks to him. He will probably emerge smelling of roses.
He's aiming for his ten years in office, and unless (as I hope) he's arrested, he'll use all the tricks and lies in the book to do it.
He won't go voluntarily.
The sooner this lying, corrupt, murderer, goes and takes his money grabbing ,greedy wife with him the better it will be for this country, lets hope that whoever succeeds him will bring our troops out of iraq immediately,

I agree 100% marvelman, however, in relation to Iraq, it's easy to deploy troops but extracting them is another matter altogether,(im sure Lonnie will back me up here), troops were sent to Northern Irelabnd in 1969 as a temporary measure, and they are still there. We need an exit strategy before we can bring them home, and, at the moment, we dont have one and in the Middle East, where saving face is paramount, if we pull out now, it will be seen by the insurgents as a western defeat.
Problem is, Iraq is pretty much a lost cause already. I think in the end it'll result in withdrawal and some muttered excuses whilst shoegazing.
Northern ireland is different , because it is in the UK and involved us directly, Iraq is like Vietnam there is no solution to it until American and British Troops are withdrawn, they should never have been sent in the first place.
