hi guys, im sorry for asking in here but i need an answer quick because i need it for work tomorrow. when using microsoft word if i have type something out and spelt it wrong i click on the word to retype it but it deletes the letters infront, for instance if i put a "space" it deletes everything in front! how do i stop it, can i turn that off?

Try hitting the insert key? "insert" will either let you insert letters or if pressed will let you overtype. That's if I have understood you correctly. Sorry if that's no help.
The delete key always deletes the letters/words infront, ie the way you are typing. If you want to delete the letters you have just typed then you need to use the back space key.
You can always wait till the end and use spell check and then you will only have to click "change" and it will do it for you.

hi guys thank you so much for your help. i tried the insert button and it worked. ( i ment to say i typed backspace) lol but thank you anyway for that information.
If it puts a wavy red line under the word it means it doesn't match anything in the dictionary so is probably misspelt.

Just right click and it gives you a list of options. Left click on the correctly spelt word. Saves retyping

In all my years of using Word, I never knew you could use the right click as a short cut for spelling. i too have learnt something new!
