for the last week or so my pilot light (combi boiler) keeps going out. I would like to find out if i can resolve the problem myself befor I call a plumber or at least have an idea what the problem is.
Alot of people confuse the pilot light for the burner itself but if you are sure you're boiler does have a pilot light then the most likley cause to you're problem is a failing Thermo-coupler and it will not be long before it fails alltogether. It is a simple job for a Gasman to replace the thermo-coupler. It will only take Twenty mins to fit it and should only cost you the price of a call out plus a tenner for the part, around 65 is what i would be charging.
