What ever happened to the programme this is your life?
i remember watching it years ago, i actually used to enjoy it. i often used to wonder if the family actually liked one another they were probably glad they hadnt seen each other in 20 odd years!
Is the guy that used to present it, michael asple, still alive?

i suppose personalities these days dont need 'this is your life', they have tabloids to spread the news of their personal life!

Its coming back in May I think...they will be doing one hour shows ....less episodes so they are just special people apparently

They were really scraping the barrel by the end, featuring people who were only in their 20s so had hardly had much of a life to celebrate.

I remember when Jill Dando was featured on This Is Your Life at the age of 36, there was an irate letter in the Radio Times complaining that she shouldn't have been featured because she'd only had "half her life" so far. How wrong can you be?

Incidentally, Michael Aspel is alive and, if not exactly well, then coping pretty decently with illness. And he presents The Antiques Roadshow.
