Driving without insurance usually results in a fine of around 200. Additionally, the driver's licence is endorsed with a minimum of 6 points.

When a driver accrues 6 points on his licence, within the first two years of holding that licence, the licence is automatically revoked.

'Revocation' is not the same as 'disqualification' (i.e. there's no fixed period for a 'ban'). You can immediately apply for a new provisional licence and book another driving test to try to regain a full licence.
