Muscle twitching
3 Answers
For several months I have had fluttering and titching sensation in my muscles. My left arm and hand has felt throbbing and numb, and shaky. I get the fluttering mainly at 5-6am when I am still in bed- it wakes me up. It could be my imagination, but I have also become forgetful, and I lose things- which is most unlike me. Also I frequently get the letters round the wrong way when i type which I never used to.
Any idea what this could be? I am really worried cos this morning my index finger (mouse finger) has been twitching on and off for a few seconds for hours. I can't stop it. It flutters and vibrates for a few secs, then stops. then does it again. I also have had neck problems for a while, so could it be traped nerves?
I'd be VERY grateful for any thoughts. I have booked an appointment with a neurologist but it isn't for 2 months.

But there are other symptoms which it is clear the doctor is not able to explain hence the need for the neurologist.
What job do you do? Have you considered visiting an Occupational Health therapist for some advice? Did something in your workplace change 5/6months ago? Perhaps something you are doing at work has caused this and the OHT may be able to observe and determine what this might be.
If symptoms change or persist or get worse, you should go back to your GP to allay your fears.
