petrol in my diesel car

my misses borrowed my car to take the kids to school she went and put 10 pound of petrol in and car died on her if i fill it with diesel will t be ok if not does anyone know how to drain or syphon the tank of a 206 1.9 diesel

hope she didnt drive to far petrol can cause all sorts of trouble with the fuel pump for example causes the rubber seal s to expand ect. also change the fuel filter as this will be contaminated,also the fuel lines will probably be full of petrol, not an easy job you will probably be better off getting a garage to do it
If it's a 1.9 it'll be the older XUD engine: if this is the case then you've nothing to worry about- just top it off with diesel and all it'll do is give the injectors a bit of a clean out. An XUD will run on virtually anything- I run my BX on veggie oil and my bro in law does recoveries and runs his ZX on pump-outs from unfortunates such as yourself!!
So......Old XUD engine fine, but if you have the newer HDi engine, then don't drive it and pump it out- the HDi has all sorts of engine management gubbins and does NOT like petrol in the diesel!!
