My AC adapter for the above becomes very hot after only a short time.Is it safe to use?

It is very hard to examine and test your AC adapter from here (I'm in New Zealand) therefore I cannot supply a definitive answer. What I can say is one could expect an AC adapter to become quite warm after extended use. If the adapter gets hot it suggests all is not as it should be and maybe you should get it checked out by your Toshiba agent.
