Monitor not working.

My (NOT flat screen) monitor doesn't seem to be working. I turn everything on, the message on the screen is NO SIGNAL and the monitor turns itself off. The little light goes from green to yellow and the screen is black. The tower hums away happily but, obviously, I can't access anything. I have checked all the connections and there seems to be no problem there.
Does anyone have any ideas or is it time to buy a new one?

It could be any number of things besides the monitor.

The first thing to do is try a different working monitor on your PC.If you then get a signal you know where the fault is.

If you still cant get a picture then further investigation will be required.

Thanks, pauln90. I'll see if I can borrow a flat screen (I live on the top floor!) to see if THAT works.
