Stumped by my 9 year old!!!

My 9 year old posed me this riddle, and I have to confess that I'm a bit stumped!! Anyone help?

Well, I cracked and asked the answer. It would appear that Juliefer was pretty close as the answer is 99 and 99 99ths. Not sure I can write that down here, but I reckon you get the idea!!

But I would say there's nothing in the question to say that it 's a SUM - so eddiebun's answer seems equally as valid - and maybe even more appropriate for a nine year old's question.
