Why mess with crosswords at all if they don't provide a bit of a challenge - just filling in the squares is like playing at Post Office.
Here we are on Monday morning and <bu>it's getting worse</bu>. There is not a single word in today's Herculis which is in any way unusual. I'm no intellectual snob, but I found it really boring.
A classic piece of intellectual snoobery .... even, claiming not to be!

Shredder, I take your point entirely. When I made my original comment on Saturday, it was not intended as criticism. I hope KM didn't take it as such. I simply like to be challenged a bit more than was the case with Saturday's xword. If, as you say, Kate does read this website, then we probably can look forward to some fiendishly difficult efforts in coming weeks. My dictionaries are at the ready. Incidentally, I never expected to see so many responses to my comment. There's nowt wrong with a good debate.
If you want to be -challenged- write about or to all the crossords that you do not find challenging .... why criticise one?
perhaps, KM has a wider audience other than ABers (crossword fanatics?) to provide crosswords for / KM has to satisfy the requirements of DT .... unlikely to have free rein, but her Father may have done ...
I wonder if Shredder was -authorised- to disclose that KM accessed this Site .....
let us see if the hounds bay next weekend .... boring
