AVG, not updating

this problem has only been occuring during the last fortnight.

each morning the avg is scheduled to auto update and has done so for months, but recently the update has failed and prompted me to re-start my pc to complete the update.

any ideas on how tosolve this problem

You do know that there's a new version out now I take it?
I think the old one is now unsupported and updates are no longer available.
Your old version should have notified you of the update a few weeks ago.

Just to add, the new version is 7.5. Updating to this version will probably solve your problem.

Have you recently installed a firewall ?

Or maybe your firewall has been set to STOP AVG going out to the internet.

Check your firewall settings.

thanks guys, i am on the latest version 7.5, and no other software has been added so i still am not sure what to do

any more tips would be helpful

Have you tried restoring your computer back to a date just before the problem started?

Delete AVG completely and then download the latest from grisoft, Ive just had to do the same for somebody else.

If you are using the free version it may be because your years trial is up. delete from your system and download it from a new email address!
