iPod virgin

I've never had an iPod but feel as though I should have one now as my new stereo has an ipod input and it would be handy to use it.
Now, whats the best one to get? I noticed that the Nano tends to have less memory (8GB) but some others have 80GB.
I want the video facility too. Any help would be much appreciated

Think of it like this:
Quick commutes where you just want some music but aren't bothered what: iPod Shuffle.
Slightly longer journeys or you want to choose music: iPod Nano.
Longer journeys like plane travel, or you just want all your music with you all the time: iPod.

No definitely cheaper. The nano's just a lot smaller, and so can't fit all the storage that the larger iPod can.
If you want to take it jogging then get either a nano or a shuffle: both are solid state devices, with no moving parts. The iPod regular has a hard drive inside with moving parts, making it unsuitable.
