Sounds abit like me!
I eat cheese everyday!
But i do think dogs arent meant to have dairy, as it upsets there stomachs? And also can make them put on weight.
if your dog isn't having upset stomachs from eating it then you are probably okay. We used to feed our dog chocolate back in the 1980s and it did him no harm.

But it does pay to be careful about what they eat.

No I can't say as he's ever seemed to suffer from eating it.
I wasn't aware that dogs are not supposed to have dairy products.
My husband gives him wheat a bics in milk and egg as he used to with his old Alsatian. He also gave his old dog veggies with his meat and the odd gin and tonic. The dog lived until the age of 14, which some people have said is a good age for an Alsatian(sorry if thats the wrong spelling).
My mum used to give her old dog chocolate and she lived to 15.
My dog will not eat canned dog food. He only ever eats dry dog food with plenty of water.
But as I said he does love his cheese and yes Wig so do I.
We've had 2 dogs in the past that loved cheese - particularly extra mature cheddar for some reason. Everytime you opened the fridge they'd appear looking hopeful. Never seemed to do them any harm.
avoid garlic bread though - my old bull mastiff/GSD had a cast iron stomach. But he once ate most of a garlic baguette and both the smell and diarrhoea were awful. It was the middle of winter and I had to leave all the windows open for days.
When I went to dog training they said use cheese as a titbit to give when they got it right so I assums so long as it isnt a main meal its ok.
Cheese is ok provided it is fed in moderation - as a titbit rather than as a main component of the dog's food. As with most things, moderation is the key - no more than 10% of the dog's total food for one day. I often use cheese for training for the show ring, because as you say they can smell it a mile off, and it keeps their attention on the pocket where it is kept. Just have to remember to remove it at the end of the session, or I end up with the pocket chewed out, or a smelly, gooey mess when it gets left for a few days before being washed.
Everything in moderation - same as us. My terrier loves cheese especially strong cheddar and my cat is also partial to a bit of cheese. My daughter works in a Vets and she says they often give tablets to dogs & cats in a bit of cheese. Works every time!
I love extra sharp cheddar and so do my cats and dogs. If i remember rightly though my mum told me not to go overboard on giving it to them as it can cause constipation. Do not know if this is true, but i've never had a problem with giving it to them in moderation.
My Shaney loves a bit of cheese .....I only give him a very thin little slice though as his evening treat. Every night I do my son his pack up for work which is always cheese (don't ask ! ) .
Old Shaney is arthritic now and going a bit blind and dead to the world in his basket .... but the second that fridge door opens and I mention the word cheese ... he's like lightning !

Its good stuff cheese.
Your Shaney knows it lol.
Mine would live on it I think if I'd let him.
He's not fussed as to what it is either. Chedder, Stilton,Edam if its cheesy he wants it.
He gets the right hump if he misses out cos he upstairs and don't get down quick enough.
Nice bit of Wensleydale Gromitt !!
When taking my dog for treatment for liver disease 12months ago, his specialist vet told me that cheese should not be given to dogs. Although most dogs love cheese, it's full of "bad bacteria" which causes gut problems. Have you tried your dog with yoghurt - most dogs like that.
