Very interesting !!!!

After Aquagility in one fell swoop took 4 points with 2 Hot Shots, all the rest scored either 1 or 2 points with matches with Olive Drab and/or Shock Wave[s]

{See what happens when you don't have to get up in the morning !!!]

The other two matches - Duck Mussel and Black Diamond eluded everyone - Kate's getting cunning, I think.

Good going - sarumite, Laney B, Arabesque, ShazzaHewat and patchett [welcome back, patchett] - all of whom scored 2 points and 26 entries scored 1 point.

Congratulations to all scorers and I'll put up a progressive scores list shortly.

you're very welcome, Laney B - I think the friendship is the best part of all this - it's great fun

I get the picture - mine don't steam up though, in the warmer weather they just slide down my nose - lovely feeling when they drop off on a shop counter !!
Well done all you clever people. I agree with LaneyB, everyone is so friendly and I too look forward to reading all the banter especially with the KM and MM links.
'Congratulations to all the winners' is beginning to sound like a mantra from the O-ices.
There is absolutely no excuse for our abysmal showing for these last number of weeks.
And since there is no excuse there must be a medical condition. We think it's called 'Frozen Brainalious' and the cure is long drawn out as it involves awaiting spring by which time our brains, like everything else around here, will slowly thaw and hopefully begin to work again. So we may bear watching from around the first Saturday in May.
Thanks Steff for your hard work and your wonderful sense of humour.
Greetings from your frigid friends.
thanks for that Steff - I actually do not remember scoring a point each week! I was convinced I was a Null Point!

That still leaves me with this olive drab thingy but a friend has just told me that it is to do with the American military. Nuff said!

My knickers are now unknotted! :O)

good morning all, well that's how it is here for me, we actually may get some rain before this week's out, my garden's taking a real battering with water restrictions.

Hello, ont-ices I'm watching you very carefully, you've scored a point on each of the past two weeks, and I expect a sudden rush on the leaders before the month is out - I think we have a couple of dark horses over there.

Keep warm and amply supplied with heartening tipples and the snow will melt very quickly [I hope]

Dear Dustybun - I'm glad your underwear has resumed it's normal composure - nothing more uncomfortable and that I've put your mind at rest over the accumulated points - believe me, I don't give out points nilly-willy so if you've gottem, you've earned'em

Managed to finish Monday's last night with help from AQ, bless him, just don't know what I'm going to do today - I know there's always housework, buuuuutttt !!!
think I'll go give the roses a scare - bye for now and take care, Steff
<LaneyB> Many of us have been on AB for several years but began to gel last September when ShamrockBlue established the MM Links Game to try to predict the link words set by the late Michael Mepham (in DT).

I joined the growing band in October and suggested the scoring scheme (now operating). When MM died suddenly, we decided to continue with our own words (set by whoever was the current champion).

When Kate Mepham re-introduced Herculis some six weeks ago, we began to run TWO link games (thanks to the priceless input from seekeerz). MM and KM link games continue to attract over 50 entrants each week and competition is fierce (in the nicest possible way).

The stampede for early entries every Saturday at 9.00am has to be seen to be believed. Current words have been chosen by wickedtongue (who also score the perfect score on KM only two weeks ago).

Believe the banter - but these are not just fair-weather friends. We stick by through weather fair and foul. The links of friendship which sparkle in the light-hearted humour have been forged in the fires of heart-felt sympathetic support when the occasion arises!

Welcome aboard!
