we have been trying to conceive since july 2006 with no luck!
Decided to try an ovulation test last month which detects the hormone released just before your egg is released. When the hormone is present it needs to show 2 pink lines the same colour or darker then you must have intercourse as much as poss over 36hrs,
(i was unwell last month so missed the slot)
if 1 line is fainter then you are said to have a negative result and not ovulating and keep testing.

This month i was testing and had an idea when i would ovulate but after testing over six days i never had a positive result !
THE QUESTION IS :
COULD THIS MEAN I HAVE SOMETHING WRONG WITH ONE OF MY FALLOPIAN TUBES AND I AM NOT OVULATING?
my periods are spot on every month so i am dead confused now
has any1any info on the subject?

hi suki. You must be ovulating otherwise you wouldnt have a period every month. you could try using a fertility thermometer. sounds complicated but its not. you simply plot your temp on a fertility graph each morning you.ll find that just b4 you ovulate your temp will drop. you can buy a book by hazel phillips that goes into more detail of concieving girl or boy and plotting ovulation graphs. good luck xxx
A fertility doctor on tv said those shop bought ovulation tests were a complete waste of time & money,so I would'nt rely on them.He said the best way was to have sex every 3 days, that ensured that whenever you ovulated (& every woman is different)there would be sperm waiting to fertilise the egg.
Easier said than done!!I took Agnus Castus & am convinced it helped me get pregnant,am due any day now!!
Good luck!!
If you are worried get a doctor to check you out.
I was in the same situation was trying to conceive for a long time, i bought a kit and like you it never came back with a positive, so i ended up not using them and just went back to guessing, and i'm pleased to say it worked for me!!!
actually ilovemarkb my doctor told me that although you have a period every month you dont alwyas ovulate. Now being 35 and not knowing that I was slightly concerned because I thought that was what having a period was all about. Depending on your age and how long you have been trying you could ask your doctor to refer you for some blood tests which are taken from day 2 to 5 of your period to check your hormones and make sure you are in fact ovulating. I have gone through this whole process and it can be very tiring mentally as well as physically. so good luck with everything. x
