watching yesterdays programme with Di, she said she was a naturist and then noel said you didnt know you were going to be here today but we did, and then went on about the crew and naturists,, so what happened to it being a random name that the computer shows???, i had my suspisions that they knew who it was going to be, for obvious reasons, but anyway getting bored with the prog now, anybody else the same??

I never thought it was random either ~ although the conestants don't know they are going to be picked, the crew always do....that is why they have their props prepared in advance.

I once read a snippet from a contestant on youtube, who said that he had an inkling he was going to be picked as he was told to change his shirt before his show was recorded. He was wearing blue, and when he went out Noel Edmonds was wearing an identical colour shirt. From that he knew he was going to be picked!

And no...not getting bored with the show at all.

Yeah right with you gina, must admit got bored with it round christmas time, well, if its not random pickings, why do the names flash up , why not just come on and say 'Right John get your backside over here youve been picked as todays greedy bas*ard, so lets be having you!' Sorry, its just that i saw Mondays and the way they weep and wail when they reaslised theyve dropped a bo**ock , for gods sake, dont enter if you cant handle it! Jeez

It's a gameshow ~ the names popping up on screen is part of the gameshow format.

And like all gameshows, each show is the same apart from the ending!

not entirely pippa, some game shows have questions to answer which make it a bit different

True, but some happen to find the gameshows which have Qs to answer (eg the majority) become boring too.

DOND have a different concept, in that you don't need to be intelligent or knowledgeable to win money. Rather like poker.

I have to say I haven' watched every single show, and it doesn't bother me if I miss one!

same here used to like watching but now if i miss doesnt bother me, i went to see it being recorded and so see it in a diferent light, maybe it being 6 times a week is maybe to much

must say i admire Noel for keeping the momentum going, jeeez he must be bored rigid sometimes, trying to keep it entertaining must be difficult? After all, you cant like everyone its human nature, i bet soemtimes he feels like telling them to hurry up!!!! like when they say 'Im ready for the Question Noel!' then sit there like a stuffed duck............................................

What gets me about it is why they keep clapping all the time, even if someone ends up with just a1p, yesterday the chap dealt with I think 20 grand and his box held 35 grand but they still clapped!!!
