I'm selling my Peugeot 106 very soon and am thinking of buying one of the above (Mini's are too expensive) with about 3,500 - 4,000 to spend. Has anyone had any particularly bad experiences with either of these cars? Or are they generally as reliable / good VFM as each other?

Thanks!

Never had a Reggie, but my wife has had two Kas, and they were brilliant. Great fun to drive and very reliable. If you can get over the wacky styling they are great little cars. I would recommend at least a Ka2 so you get power steering and electric windows and go for one with air-con.
I second Rharris's comments. I have a Ka1 (poverty spec) and it's brilliant. Great fun to drive, cost peanuts to run and according to Quentin Wilson can be serviced by a blacksmith. It you try hard enough you can get a brand new basic KA for around 5 grand. For years now all the KA1'a come with power steering but if you want to go for higher spec obviously expect to pay extra. Good luck.
I've got a Ka and I love it! I have had it from new and have never had any problem with it at all (it's 3 1/2 yrs old now).
Sorry I meant to second Impret's comments...
