Not sure if this is the correct category but here goes. I posted six parcels second class on Friday and none have yet arrived, it now being Wednesday. Does this happen often with Royal Mail, it makes me wonder whether something has happened to the whole sack load of mail. I have never had problems before with posting parcels.
Royal Mail say 2 to 4 working days. I interpret this as 5 to 7 working days. You've only had two full working days, (Mon + Tue), between posting and today.
I've had packages delivered more quickly from the US than some posted in the UK. Not for nothing is the service known as 'Parcel Farce'!
Don't give up hope!
Yes I always get certificates of posting. Do Royal Mail give a refund, and if so how long does it take?? I know I have to wait 15 days after posting, and fill out a claim form.
I've only had to do it once and it took about 3 or 4 weeks for my cheque to come in from the Royal Mail.
By that time the buyer (who was really rude and abusive to me) had claimed his money back through PayPal and so refused to tell the post office he had not received the item.
So the post office did not want to give me my money back.
I told PayPal he was trying to make a fraudulant claim because he would not admit to the post office that he had not received it, which made him admit it and then the post office refunded me.
Its not normally this complicated I don't think - it just depends if you ever have a horrid buyer to deal with.
