Depends what it's for and what age group. A friend of mine makes preserves, chutneys etc, bracelets, keyrings, badges and all and holds charity nights for occasions such as Halloween. She lost her 5 year old Grandson so the family have set up a charity in his name.
Something original is great for drawing interest.
Underwear on outside of clothes for the day? If it's children/teens, a sponsored stayawake?
Good luck, keep us updated!
For this you need a friendly farmer with a 'virgin' (ie uncultivated and ungrazed) field, and a single cow.
Mark the field into x number of large squares, then let the cow loose to graze in it. You will have previously 'sold' each square to a punter, and whoever's square the cow poops in first gets a prize. You get to keep the rest.
I heard of a guy yesterday who is going to play 14 golf courses in 14 days all around the country for charity.. Wow, fair play to him, thats going to be very hard...
It has given me the idea of Bahama island hopping for charity, i have to do all the islands in a month and sample traditional foods and drinks on each of them. Who will give me 500 a day, it's for a good cause, that i haven't thought of yet.
A charity I fundraise for is organising an African themed night (it's for Gambian schools), I have been writing to certain celebrities to ask if they would be able donate anything for the auction.
How about start training now and do next year's London marathon?
Do you do any sports or have any hobbies that you could get the group involved with?
