Hi HWKE,
Further to your question on my CD-RW drive not working, my PC/CPU is an ACER ASPIRE - I would not have a clue how to install a new driver - help, I am desperate to get this working again, its never failed me before and I have always used the same blank CDR's in it, so I know its not the blank discs....
Thanks for your help,
RQ x

Everest does not install anything on your computer, it will extract to a folder of your choice and you run it from there by double clicking on the file called Everest.exe
Run it and it will give you details about your computer, including the specific DVD drive fitted. I expect it will be a Pioneer but you need to know the model number.
Then do a Google search for the manufacturer (or post the details here and I will find the driver), then there will be a search facility on the site to find the download.

if you have xp. go to control panel, system them device manager. now right click on your cd-rw drive and then properties. now click on the driver tab, click uninstall driver then ok. now restart your pc, windows will find the cd-rw drive and install the driver for you. i had to do this a couple of weeks ago as mine wasnt working and now it is ok.
