ink on the carpet

hi can anybody help my daughter has spilt ink from a fountain pen all over her carpet i have tried to get it off with carpet shampoo but it looks even worse. has anybody got any suggestions. many thanks

If that doesn't work, put in a claim.

Try getting as much out as you can with hot water and kitchen roll then try vinegar which is supposed to be the wonder medium!
Good luck., but if it is very noticeable then an insurance claim is inevitable assuming that you are insured.

Try spraying the carpet with hairspray, This usually reves ink stains on any material. Spray a few times and allow it to soak in.
Use a light shampoo on the carpet after that.

try milk my mum swore by it if we got ink on our clothes she would just soak them in milk and the next day it would be gone

have you tried an ink eraser that you get in the stationers? the ones which look like a pen?

I used to use then on mys chool shirts if I got ink on them and it always used to come out.
