Does anyone own one of the above? Is it worth the money? Does anyone own a cheaper equivalent that is just as good in their opinion?

Not quite sure what you mean by tempur but think you might mean that it contours to you body shape, if that is what you mean then there is a cheaper alternative, we have got a mattress topper that contours to your body and that is brill....
If we are talking Memory foam, yes we have one, it took a bit of getting used to as it is fairly firm but it is very comfortable when you get used to it, we initially bought a one of those cheap memory foam toppers, we got rid of it after about 3 weeks as being a waste of money but I am sure there are different ones, you get what you pay for I suppose.
My Mum has a different make but the same sort of thing. She has scoliosis of the spine and severe arthritis and its the best money they ever spent!

i find them cosy and warm in winter
I bought one yesterday ... feel great but if you want the best deals get on the internet.

Thanks everyone for your answers. Unruliejulie, do you happen to know what make your mum has? And MissyR where on the internet did you get yours from? Thanks x.
I'm love my Tempur mattress and so do my friends who have one. There are cheaper matts on the market but i've not found any that compare to Tempur.
If your not sure if its for you i've seen on their website they do a 60 night trial, so you try before you buy.
