How long does alcohol show in your blood-ie in tests and breathalisers.Just curiousity!!!

"They" say that it takes an hour per unit of alcohol to disappear from your blood - which is why early morning driving after a heavy night may be a bad idea!
A unit by the way is half a pint of beer or 1 (25ml) shot of spirits.
quite correct. Alcohol is pretty uniform in it's dispersal rate from the body and a pint every 2 hours is about right.
The 'pint every two hours' is based upon a 'standard' strength beer of 3.6%ABV. Stella at 5% contains about 3 units per pint.
Your test must be coming up. If you fail wait longer next time.
I believe that people vary quite a bit in how quickly they metabolise alcohol. It would therefore be foolish to rely on sums calculated for the "average" person -- your liver might be a slow one.
