loose weight fast

i am oing on holiday in august and i am wanting to loose around 10lb before i go i am size 12 now and want to be a size 10.
because of my busy lifestyle i eat late at night and the only excersise i do is cleaning the house everday.
i am planning on walking alot more startin next week by parking further away from work and also i am going to stop eating so late at night i will just eat on my own rather than waiting for my partner.
i am wanting to know does anyone no of anything else i tried adios but it made me constipated, i have used laxatives in the past but dont really want to go back to that.
do fitness dvd's work?

joro,honey-see my respones to you and comments in Funshines question below. If you feel you must loose some weight keep a food diary,eat regular small meals,fill up with LOTS of fruit & veg.and WALK everywhere...get a pedometer and do at least 10,000 steps....I guarantee it will make a difference. also remember muscle weighs more than fat so you may look and feel a lot better without a huge weight lose-good luck!

yeah i suppose its the dress size really rather than the weight i want to loose i was a size 14 after having my son (11months old) iv lost a dress size but dont seem to have lost the weight.

im hoping that with me walking more that it will help im a bit of a cereal freak so im just going to eat that and cut out the crap maybe eat more fruit but iv never been a fan of fruit and veg
Go to tesco's and pick out some stuff you have never tried before...experiment! Have your fruit in smoothies...buy packs of frozen pineapple, or mango, or berries. If you make smoothies with partialy frozen fruit they are lovely! Forget the diet gimicks-they don't work ...you only need to loose 1 pound a week which should be easy if you are sensible.
Holland & barratt do fibre tablets you take it with water 1 hr before meals it makes you feel full so you dont eat too much!
If you can forget the car altogether and ride a bike to work, you'll feel much better after a week or 2 at it, might want to ease yourself into it though as you may feel very tired until you get used to it, try cycling one way, getting the bus home and leave your bike there then cycle it back the next day until you can manage both ways in the same day, might want to rest the day after though. Just take your time and go at your own speed and eat healthily.

i used to ride to work everyday as my work had a shower but i have now sold my bike and my work doesnt have a shower i dont fancy sat at work feeling sweaty all day
Eat fruit, fruit and more fruit. Not too many bananas though.
