Why are the only 'right' men for me MARRIED?

Looking for a man that is taller than me when I wear my highest heels (so over 6ft 1"), attractive, maybe dark haired, fit who has a cool hobby, not afraid to be old fashioned and offer to pay, who knows how to book flights, hotel rooms, tables at restaurants and use online florist, not afraid of an independant, experienced, well travelled young lady. Met two of these in my lifetime, BOTH MARRIED. Why? I appreciate if a man has these qualities that they would more than likely have been snapped up, but come on?! What do I do to find my own man with these qualities?! Where do they hide?!

and women call men shallow. Your description of your "ideal man" is all built around what he would do for you and how he would fit into your lifestyle. At no point do you mention what you would like to do as a couple, shared experiences, shared thoughts - He even has to have a "cool" hobby ffs. What does that mean - a hobby that you approve of?

Thats why you cant find a good man - you aren't even looking for a partner, you are looking for the male equivalent of a Prada Bag

arent people on here polite?! i could go into GREAT and very boring lengths about the kind of relationship i would ideally like and the things i would like to share, but my question was simply, are all the "decent" - as in - MY PERSONAL perception of decent (has a job, is indepedant, has his own friends, is not scared of commitment, is fun and cool to be around, is not abusive or controlling - i guess what most women would like) taken already? blimey!

and by cool hobby i meant at least he has an interest outside of work that shows he has passion and something else going on in his life! i didnt say i cared what it was and everyones view on "cool" is different!

and prada bags are cheaper in the long run, more versatile, longer lasting and far more satisfying in general than any bloke! they also turn vintage rather than OLD!

I have used dating sites since last October since my friend introduced me. I think you should have a go because the old stigma of "desparate people use dating sites" is a thing of the past and you will probably find that there are decent guys on there. I have met a few really nice women, I admit they have not worked out but I am sure that I will find someone on there at some point. Obviously have your wits about you because I have been told that are weirdos amonst the geniune ones, but you sound intelligent enough to see through these idiots.
