Isle of Wight family holiday

I am hoping to visit the Isle of Wight with my family for five nights in August. I haven't been there since 1978 and would welcome some recommendations for hotels. We are looking for somewhere half board, with an outdoor pool, fairly near the beach, in Ventnor, Shanklin or Sandown. Thanks in advance.

or go to booking.com and type in Isle of Wight plus your dates and have a look. Hotel Club is cheaper than booking.com but the Isle of Wight (plus its towns) doesn't come up as a UK location!
